Dharmasthala Case Big Twist: Mahesh Shetty Thimarody arrest
Dharmasthala Case Big Twist: Mahesh Shetty Thimarody, a social activist from Karnataka, has been arrest by Udupi police from his residency. A case has been filed against him by the Udupi Rural BJP Mandal president, Rajeev Kulal, for allegedly using “abusive and obscene language” and making derogatory remarks against BJP national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santhosh on Facebook.
Thimarody also came under fire for a past video in which he had alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was responsible for “24 murders.” This statement caused an uproar in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, with the BJP demanding action against him. Following this, Home Minister G. Parameshwara instructed the police to take “stern action.”

Dharmasthala Case: Thimarody is a prominent activist campaigning for “Justice for Sowjanya” and has been involved in the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the alleged mass burials in Dharmasthala. He and another activist, Girish Mattennavar, have been releasing documents to the public regarding alleged irregularities. The BJP has accused him of using the SIT probe to “defame the Dharmasthala temple and its administrators.”
