CCTV reveals Hyundai i20 parked for 3 hours before Delhi Red Fort blast, suspect identified

New Delhi: New revelations about the devastating car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort have come to light. The Hyundai i20 vehicle, which was involved in the blast, was parked near a mosque for approximately three hours before the explosion occurred.

According to CCTV footage, the car entered the parking area of the Sunehri Mosque at 3:19 PM and left the premises at 6:48 PM, just minutes before the explosion occurred at around 6:52–7:00 PM near the Red Fort.

During its stay at the parking location, the car was driven by a man wearing a blue and black T-shirt and a mask. The suspicious behavior of the driver and the prolonged stay of the vehicle at the mosque parking area have intensified investigations.

As authorities continue to investigate the blast, they are focusing on the route taken by the vehicle from the mosque to the site of the explosion. Over 100 CCTV cameras are being analyzed to trace the origins of the vehicle and its possible connections to the suspects involved in the attack.

Meanwhile, the identity of the alleged mastermind behind the explosion, Dr. Umar Mohammad, has come to light. It is suspected that Dr. Mohammad, who is believed to be the suicide bomber, was accompanied by two other accomplices during the attack.

Sources have indicated that a detonator was installed in the vehicle before the blast, further intensifying suspicions of a well-coordinated attack.

The police are working to confirm whether Dr. Umar Mohammad was indeed in the car when the blast occurred. In a crucial step in the investigation, authorities are preparing to conduct DNA tests on the remains of the victims to confirm any connection between the explosion and Dr. Mohammad. The findings could be pivotal in identifying the perpetrators and understanding the full extent of the attack.

Investigators are also following leads related to the location of the suspects and the network that may have planned and executed the attack. With the ongoing probe, Delhi police have increased surveillance across the city, including in Bengaluru and other major cities, where alerts have been issued.

As the investigation progresses, the possibility of an organized terror network behind the attack has become a central focus. The authorities are exploring links to other extremist activities, as the use of a suicide bomber and the methodical approach in the planning of the attack suggest that the perpetrators were part of a larger terrorist plot.

With multiple security agencies involved, including the NIA (National Investigation Agency) and other counter-terrorism units, the police are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to uncover the truth behind this heinous attack. The explosion at the Red Fort has sent shockwaves through the capital and raised concerns about the security of high-profile landmarks across the country.
