Pakistani YouTuber Threatens to bomb ICC Amid India-Pakistan T20 World Cup Row

Islamabad: A major controversy has erupted after a Pakistan-based YouTuber issued open threats against the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the ongoing dispute surrounding the India–Pakistan match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

The controversy comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hinted at boycotting the scheduled match against India, following political tensions between the two nations. Amid this sensitive backdrop, Pakistani YouTuber Arslan Naseer released a 15-minute video making highly objectionable and threatening remarks against the ICC, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and the Indian cricket team.

The video was uploaded on his YouTube channel under the name “CBA Arslan Naseer.” While the description claimed to offer “humorous cricket reviews and reactions,” the content quickly turned abusive and provocative. Naseer was seen making derogatory comments about Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and indulging in inappropriate gestures, which triggered outrage on social media platforms.

Direct Threats Against ICC

What has drawn the strongest condemnation are the direct threats made against the ICC in the video. Referring to the ICC headquarters in Dubai, Naseer stated, “The ICC office is in Dubai, that is why they are safe. If their office was in India, our people would have bombed their headquarters and nearby areas.”

The statement has been widely criticized as dangerous hate speech and an explicit call for violence. Security experts have termed the remarks as not just offensive but potentially criminal in nature.

The video was reportedly uploaded after Pakistan’s government indicated that the national team may boycott the February 15 T20 World Cup match against India, scheduled to be held at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Reference to Handshake Controversy

Naseer also referred to the earlier handshake controversy between the two teams during the 2026 Asia Cup. He expressed anger over the Indian team refusing to shake hands with Pakistani players following the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people were killed.

He further criticized the incident where the Indian team declined to receive the Asia Cup trophy from PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. According to reports, Naqvi later took the trophy with him, which created another round of controversy in cricketing circles.

Calls for Action

The inflammatory video has led to widespread calls for strict action against the YouTuber. Many social media users have demanded that both the ICC and Pakistani authorities take legal measures to prevent such hate-filled content.

Cricket analysts believe such statements only worsen the already fragile cricketing relations between India and Pakistan and damage the spirit of the game.

So far, neither the ICC nor the PCB has issued an official response to the controversy.
