Before it was reported that the biggest deal has been struck between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals before the auction of Indian Premier League Season-19. It was reported that with this deal, RR team captain Sanju Samson has become the part of the Delhi Capitals franchise.

According to IPL sources, the Delhi Capitals franchise has entered into a swap deal with Rajasthan Royals, according to which Samson will enter the Delhi team before the auction. Meanwhile, it was reported that Delhi Capitals player Tristan Stubbs will be a part of the Rajasthan Royals team.

Accordingly, when Sanju Samson is going to be the part of the Delhi Capitals team, Chennai Super Kings have once again contacted the Rajasthan Royals franchise. That too with the offer of a swap deal for the star player.

CSK is reportedly very keen on acquiring Sanju Samson, potentially viewing him as a long-term wicketkeeper-batter option and successor figure. Reports indicate that RR has asked for a “big-name” CSK player in return for Samson, and Ravindra Jadeja has been mentioned as one of the player’s RR is interested in, along with Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Both Samson and Jadeja were retained for 18 crore by their respective franchises in the last retention cycle. CSK has reportedly been hesitant to part with core members of their squad like Jadeja or Gaikwad.

The CSK franchise, through its CEO Kasi Viswanathan, has publicly downplayed the rumors, with the CEO stating, “No, not likely, not likely” regarding the Samson trade. CSK even released a humorous video on social media urging fans not to believe trade rumors until official announcements.
