India vs West Indies Test: KL Rahul, Jurel and Jadeja hit century
India vs West Indies Test: India dominated Day 2 of the 1st Test against West Indies thanks to brilliant centuries from Ravindra Jadeja and Dhruv Jurel, who also got excellent support from a century by KL Rahul.
At Stumps on Day 2, India’s score was 448/5, giving them a massive lead of 286 runs over the West Indies (who were bowled out for 162 in their first innings). KL Rahul converted his overnight half-century into a century, scoring 100.

Young wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel scored a magnificent maiden Test century, making 125. His celebration was noted as a “guard of honour” tribute to his father, a retired Indian Army Havildar. Ravindra Jadeja also continued his excellent form with the bat, finishing the day on an unbeaten 104 not out, bringing up his 6th Test century.
The crucial part of the day was the 5th-wicket partnership of 206 runs between Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja which completely took the game away from the West Indies. Captain Shubman Gill also contributed a half-century, scoring 50.
