CBSE Class 10 12 Exams: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has indeed released the final date sheets for the Class 10th and 12th Board Examinations for the 2025-26 academic session. CBSE Class 10 12 Exams: Important Changes for 2026 Board exams.
The official final date sheet was released on October 30, 2025, on the official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in). The exams for both classes are scheduled to begin on the same date. The timing for all exams will generally be 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM (IST), unless specified otherwise (some vocational papers are shorter).

Exam Start Date: February 17, 2026
Exam End Date: March 10, 2026 (Approximate) and class 12th: April 9, 2026
Practical Exams (Regular Schools): Start: January 1, 2026 , class 12th Start: January 1, 2026
Admit Card Release: Expected January/February 2026.

CBSE Class 10 12 Exams Important Changes for 2026 Boards:
In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE has announced several significant structural changes:
1. Question Paper Pattern: At least 50% of the questions will be Competency-Based, including MCQs, case studies, source-based questions, and real-life situational tasks, focusing on applied knowledge rather than rote memorization.
2. Two Board Exams for Class 10: CBSE plans to implement a system of two board examinations for Class 10 students, with a main exam in February and an optional improvement exam later in the year (around May). Note: The full implementation details for the second exam are advised to be tracked on the official website.
3. Mandatory Sectional Writing (Class 10 Science & SST): For the Class 10 Science paper (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Science paper (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics), students must now divide their answer sheets into correctly labeled sections. Answers written in the wrong section will not be evaluated.
