K N Rajanna will join BJP: congress MLA made big statement
K N Rajanna: Congress MLA Magadi Balakrishna has made a highly controversial statement, alleging that former minister K N Rajanna is preparing to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has already “applied” to do so. This explosive claim comes amid a political storm following Rajanna’s recent removal from the state cabinet.
Balakrishna stated that if a “brain mapping” of K.N. Rajanna were conducted, it would reveal that he is in contact with top central and state BJP leaders. The Magadi MLA suggested that Rajanna is making these public moves to create a perception of a conspiracy against him within the Congress party. Balakrishna said this is a tactic to justify his potential defection to another party.
Balakrishna used a Kannada proverb, “Maatu mane kedisitu, tootu ole kedisitu” (Words can destroy a house, a hole can spoil a stove), to criticize Rajanna’s public comments. He said that Rajanna’s own words were responsible for his removal from the cabinet and that there was no “conspiracy” from the Congress high command.
Balakrishna went a step further, claiming that Rajanna “already has one foot in the BJP.” He suggested that if the Congress government were not in power, Rajanna would have already formally joined the opposition party.
This statement has created a significant stir in Karnataka’s political circles, especially as Rajanna’s supporters have been staging protests and demanding his reinstatement. The BJP has also publicly invited Rajanna to join their party, further fuelling the speculation.
