Computers, TVs, Fans, and other electronic items (though some past reports indicate confusion on laptops, the new guidelines seem to clarify that such items are subject to charges if exceeding free allowance or are commercial in nature).

Transporting Animals and Birds:

Passengers are now allowed to carry domesticated animals and birds on City, Suburban, Ordinary, and Mofussil bus services. These will be charged at the rate of a child’s ticket fare for smaller animals like rabbits, puppies, cats, and birds in cages. A full adult ticket fare will be charged for dogs.

Important restriction: Transporting animals is strictly prohibited on premium services like Karnataka Vaibhav, Rajahamsa, Non-AC Sleeper, and all air-conditioned buses.

Luggage Pricing:

Separate rates have been fixed for AC and Non-AC buses. For instance, for non-AC buses, the rate might be around Rs 5 for the first 1-5 stages, while for AC buses, it could be Rs 10. Rates increase with distance/stages. Passengers failing to obtain a luggage ticket for items subject to charges will be penalized twice the designated luggage fare.

Passengers are strongly advised to check with KSRTC staff or visit the official KSRTC website for the most detailed and up-to-date information on specific charges and conditions before traveling with large, heavy, or special items.
