Karnataka Forest Department Extends Recruitment For 750 Forest Observer Posts

The Karnataka Forest Department has extended the deadline for applications to 750 Forest Observer posts, giving eligible candidates additional time to complete the recruitment process. The revised deadline is September 7, 2026, while the application can be submitted online without paying any fee.

A total of 750 Forest Observer vacancies are available across different forest circles in Karnataka. Chamarajanagar has the highest number of openings with 169 posts. Mysuru follows with 120 posts, while Bengaluru has 70 vacancies.

Ballari has 62 Forest Observer posts and the Kanara circle has 60 openings. Chikkaballapur has 56 posts, while Mangaluru has 54 vacancies. Belagavi has 42 posts and Shivamogga has 38 vacancies.

The remaining vacancies are distributed across Kodagu, Hassan, Dharwad and Kalaburagi. Kodagu has 32 posts, Hassan has 30, Dharwad has 12 and Kalaburagi has four vacancies.

For educational qualification, applicants must have passed SSLC or Class 10 from a recognised board. Candidates should also check the official recruitment notification for the applicable age requirements and any relaxation provided under Karnataka Forest Department rules.
