Vivo V80 Lite 5G May Launch With Massive 10000mAh Battery

Vivo is reportedly preparing to introduce another smartphone focused heavily on battery capacity. The upcoming Vivo V80 Lite 5G has started attracting attention after information about its possible configurations and colour choices appeared through pre order related listings.

The biggest highlight of the handset could be its 10000mAh battery. If confirmed, this would give the phone an unusually large power capacity compared with many conventional smartphones. The large battery could appeal to users who spend long hours watching videos, browsing the internet, playing games or using social media.

However, battery capacity alone does not reveal how long the phone will actually last. Real world endurance will depend on factors such as display settings, processor efficiency, network conditions and the way the device is used.

The charging details also appear promising. A certification listing has reportedly pointed towards 44W fast charging support. This could help reduce the time required to recharge the large battery, although the actual charging performance will only become clear once Vivo officially confirms the specifications.

The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is expected to be offered in three RAM and storage combinations. The reported entry option could feature 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, while another version may pair 6GB RAM with 256GB storage. A higher configuration is tipped to offer 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

This gives potential buyers different options depending on how much storage they need. Users who mainly use everyday applications may find the lower configuration sufficient, while people who keep larger collections of photographs, videos and applications may prefer the 256GB variants.

Colour choices are also expected to include Pink, Green and Black. Vivo has already reportedly shown glimpses of the Pink and Green versions in Malaysia, giving buyers an early idea of the phone’s design direction.

Under the hood, the smartphone could use a MediaTek Dimensity processor. The Malaysian model is reportedly identified by model number V2626 and has previously appeared in Geekbench related information. Those listings have pointed towards the Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset and Android 16.

There is some uncertainty around the processor, however. Earlier information about another version of the device reportedly mentioned the Dimensity 7300e. This suggests that Vivo could use different hardware depending on the market in which the phone is sold.

The software is expected to be based on Android 16, although the final interface and software details will need confirmation from Vivo. Different regional versions could also receive changes in hardware or specifications, so buyers should not assume that every market will receive exactly the same configuration.

The launch is expected to take place in Malaysia on September 3, 2026, with the event reportedly scheduled for 7 pm local time. Vivo has not yet provided all the details publicly, so the launch information and specifications should still be treated as expected rather than final.

There is also speculation that the Vivo V80 Lite 5G could be related to the Vivo S2 series and may represent a rebranded version for certain markets. Such branding strategies are common in the smartphone industry, where the same basic hardware can be introduced under different names across regions.

The reported specifications make the battery the clear centrepiece of the device. A 10000mAh capacity could be particularly useful for people who travel frequently, spend significant time away from charging points or simply prefer not to recharge their phone repeatedly during the day.

At the same time, a larger battery can influence the overall size and weight of a smartphone. Vivo will therefore need to balance battery capacity with the design, display and other hardware if it wants the phone to remain comfortable for everyday use.
