Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G Launches at ₹15,999 With 6000mAh Battery

Lava has launched the Virat V1 Pro 5G with a 6000mAh battery, 50MP AI camera, 120Hz display and Android 16, targeting buyers seeking affordable 5G performance.

Lava has expanded its Virat smartphone range in India with the new Virat V1 Pro 5G. The budget smartphone arrives with a large battery, 5G connectivity and a 120Hz display, giving buyers several features that are usually highlighted in higher priced models.

The phone will go on sale from August 31, 2026, through Flipkart. It comes in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, with Sikkim Midnight and Spiti Frost offered as the two colour choices.

Lava has priced the Virat V1 Pro 5G at ₹15,999. During the launch offer, buyers can get a bank discount of up to ₹2,000, bringing the effective price down to ₹13,999 for eligible customers.

The display is one of the phone’s key features. It gets a 6.75 inch HD+ LCD panel with a 720 by 1600 pixel resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The larger screen should be suitable for everyday activities such as watching videos, browsing social media and casual gaming.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T8200 octa core chipset, with a peak clock speed of 2.6GHz. The device combines the processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users also get 5G and 4G LTE connectivity, making the phone suitable for customers looking for faster mobile data at a budget price.

Photography is handled by a dual rear camera system, led by a 50 megapixel AI primary sensor with fixed focus. An 8 megapixel camera on the front takes care of selfies and video calls.

Battery life is another major focus. The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G carries a 6000mAh battery, which should appeal to users who prefer longer usage between charges. The phone runs Android 16 out of the box.

Lava has also added an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. A side mounted fingerprint sensor provides biometric security, while the handset includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.

For connectivity, the device includes WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS and a USB Type C port alongside its 5G and 4G support. Overall, the Virat V1 Pro 5G puts its focus on battery capacity, everyday performance and essential features rather than trying to compete with premium smartphones.
