Lenovo has expanded its tablet lineup in India with the launch of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2, a device aimed at users who want a balance of entertainment, productivity and smart features in a single device. The tablet has been designed for everyday use at home, office and while travelling, offering a premium multimedia experience along with useful AI powered tools.
One of the most striking features of the tablet is its 12.1 inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10, delivering richer colours and better contrast while watching videos, browsing the web or attending online classes. The high refresh rate ensures smoother scrolling and fluid animations, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
Audio performance is a major highlight of the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2. The device comes with a JBL tuned nine speaker system paired with Dolby Atmos support, offering an immersive sound experience. Whether watching movies, listening to music or attending video calls, users can expect clear and rich audio output. The tablet also includes a Bluetooth speaker mode, allowing it to double as a standalone wireless speaker when connected to a smartphone.
Adding to its versatility, Lenovo has introduced several AI based features in the tablet to improve productivity. These include real time transcription and translation tools that can assist during meetings and conversations. Features such as Lenovo Smarter Reader and AI Notes are designed to help users with studying, organising documents and managing information more efficiently, making it useful for students and professionals alike.
The tablet also comes with a 360 degree rotating kickstand, allowing multiple usage modes including hanging, stand, theatre and lean positions. This flexibility makes it convenient for different scenarios such as cooking while following recipes, attending video calls at a desk or watching content in bed.
Powering the device is a 10200mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 15 hours of YouTube video streaming on a single charge. It also supports 45W fast charging, helping users quickly recharge the device when needed. Lenovo has also ensured compatibility with accessories such as the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, wireless keyboard and a 68W USB C charger for enhanced productivity.
In terms of availability, the Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 will be sold through Lenovoβs official website, major e commerce platforms and offline retail stores across India. The tablet has been launched at a starting price of Rs 35999, with additional launch offers expected during the first sale period.
