Vivo Smartphones See Sharp Price Hike Across Popular Models Including X300 FE and V Series

Rising memory chip costs and global supply pressure have pushed Vivo to increase prices across multiple smartphones in India, affecting both new and existing models significantly

The Indian smartphone market is once again feeling the impact of rising component costs, and Vivo has now joined the list of brands revising prices upward. Industry pressure from global memory chip shortages and increasing production expenses has forced several manufacturers including Vivo, Samsung, Oppo, and Apple to adjust pricing across their portfolios. For buyers, this means owning a new smartphone has become noticeably more expensive in recent months.

One of the biggest shocks comes from Vivo X300 FE, which has seen a steep price jump of around seven thousand rupees. The 12GB and 256GB variant, earlier priced at 79,999 rupees, is now listed at 86,999 rupees. Similarly, the higher 12GB and 512GB model has moved up from 89,999 rupees to 96,999 rupees. The device, which was already positioned in the premium segment, has now become even costlier for flagship buyers.

Despite the price increase, the Vivo X300 FE continues to stand out in terms of specifications. It features a 6.31 inch LTPO AMOLED Full HD plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching up to 5000 nits. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, the phone also carries a Zeiss tuned triple rear camera system. This includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide lens, and a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera, making it a strong imaging device in its category.

The front camera also offers a 50 megapixel sensor designed for selfies and video calls. Vivo has included creative photography tools such as street photography mode and AI based enhancements that aim to improve image output in different lighting conditions. A large 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support keeps the device running for extended usage, even under heavy workloads.

Price revisions are not limited to flagship models. The Vivo V70 FE, which was launched earlier in April, has also become more expensive. Its 8GB and 128GB variant has increased from 37,999 rupees to 41,999 rupees. The 8GB and 256GB model now costs 45,999 rupees instead of 40,999 rupees, while the top 12GB and 256GB version has moved up to 46,999 rupees.

Other models in the lineup have also been affected. The Vivo Y51 Pro now starts at 30,999 rupees for the 8GB and 128GB variant, up from 27,999 rupees. The 256GB version has also seen a similar upward revision. Meanwhile, the Vivo Y31 5G now begins at 25,999 rupees for the base model, with higher storage variants also witnessing price increases.

Even the budget segment has not been spared. The Vivo T4 Lite 5G has seen one of the sharpest jumps, with the 6GB and 128GB variant rising from 14,999 rupees to 18,999 rupees. The 8GB and 128GB model now costs 20,999 rupees instead of 16,999 rupees, marking a significant change for entry level buyers.

With these revisions, Vivo has clearly aligned its pricing with the ongoing global cost pressures, leaving customers with fewer affordable options in multiple segments of the smartphone market.
