DK Shivakumar Cabinet: Final List of Probable Ministers Including One DCM
The Congress high command finalized this list after days of marathon meetings in Delhi, and an official announcement from the party top brass is expected at any moment.
DK Shivakumar is set to take charge as the new Chief Minister of the state today. Ahead of the swearing-in, the final shortlist of 12 probable ministers slated to join his cabinet has emerged. The Congress high command finalized this list after days of marathon meetings in Delhi, and an official announcement from the party top brass is expected at any moment.
Speaking at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) near Devanahalli in Bengaluru Rural district, former minister H.K. Patil confirmed, “The high command has finalized this list after thoroughly analyzing all political and social equations.”
Probable Ministers List:
According to the final calculations, the leaders likely to take the oath of office today include senior politicians Dr. G. Parameshwara, Yatindra Siddaramaiah, and either K.H. Muniyappa or Roopakala Shashidhar.
They will be joined by prominent leaders U.T. Khader, K.J. George, Krishna Byre Gowda, and M.B. Patil. Additionally, the final lineup is expected to feature Ramalinga Reddy, Byrathi Suresh, Priyank Kharge, and Satish Jarkiholi.
DCM Post Only for G. Parameshwara?
Despite intense pressure from various communities, the party high command has reportedly refused to create multiple Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) posts. It is learnt that the top brass has decided to appoint senior leader Dr. G. Parameshwara as the sole Deputy Chief Minister.
On the other hand, senior leader Satish Jarkiholi has exerted heavy pressure on the high command, demanding the KPCC President post along with a cabinet berth. He had even camped in Delhi for two days to press his demand.
The high command is hesitant to grant two posts to a single individual and is instead considering senior leader B.K. Hariprasad for the KPCC President post. If Satish Jarkiholi refuses to back down, the Delhi leadership is reportedly looking for an alternative leader from the Backward Classes, adding intense political intrigue to the situation.
