Russia launches three hypersonic missiles, massive drone strikes on Ukraine; 9 killed, over 53 injured

Kyiv: Russia has intensified its assault on Ukraine, launching three KH-47M2 ‘Kinzhal’ hypersonic missiles within 24 hours, Ukrainian officials told Euro News. The strikes have killed nine people and left more than 53 injured across multiple regions.

According to the report, between Friday and Saturday, Russia also launched 135 different strike drones from Crimea, targeting several parts of Ukraine. Drone attacks were recorded in 13 locations, causing widespread damage and panic.

Casualties in Kyiv and southern regions
On Friday, a major attack on the capital city of Kyiv left seven civilians dead and more than 30 injured. Emergency teams continued rescue and recovery operations amid the rubble.

In the southern Kherson region, 34 communities reportedly came under heavy fire. In the eastern Donetsk region, the governor confirmed that a man was injured in Kramatorsk following fresh shelling.

The renewed wave of missile and drone attacks underscores the escalating intensity of the conflict as winter approaches, with Ukrainian authorities warning of further strikes targeting critical infrastructure and civilian areas.
