According to the latest update, WhatsApp will stop functioning on several smartphones from brands such as Samsung, Motorola, Sony, LG, HTC, OnePlus, OPPO, and Vivo. The affected list also includes devices like HTC One X, OnePlus 2, OPPO Find 7 series, OPPO Mirror 5, OPPO Neo 5, OPPO Joy 3, Vivo X5 Pro, Vivo Y15, Vivo Y22, and Vivo Y27. Users with these models may soon find that WhatsApp stops working or no longer receives updates.
The main reason behind this move is user security. Older smartphones often stop receiving security patches from manufacturers, which makes them vulnerable to hacking, data leaks, and cyber threats.
