Vivo X Fold 6 May Launch in India and Global Markets Soon

Vivo appears to be preparing for the international expansion of its latest foldable smartphone, with the Vivo X Fold 6 reportedly heading towards India and other global markets after its debut in China.

The company introduced the Vivo X Fold 6 in China in June, adding another premium device to the growing foldable smartphone segment. The international version has now started appearing on certification and benchmarking platforms, suggesting that a wider launch could be approaching.

A Vivo smartphone carrying the model number V2559 was recently spotted on Geekbench. The listing has attracted attention because the specifications point towards a powerful flagship device. The smartphone recorded 1,710 points in the single core test and 5,977 points in the multi core test.

The Geekbench listing also mentions an octa core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and 12 GB of RAM. This has led to speculation that the V2559 could be the international version of the Vivo X Fold 6. However, Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the connection between the model number and the upcoming international device.

The smartphone has also appeared on regulatory platforms in other countries. The V2559 model was reportedly listed with Thailand’s NBTC and Indonesia’s SDPPI certifications. Such appearances generally indicate that manufacturers are preparing devices for wider regional availability.

India could be among the markets included in the next phase of the launch. Reports suggest that Vivo may introduce the X Fold 6 in the country as early as next month, although the company has not announced an official Indian launch date.

The expected Indian price could be around Rs 1.5 lakh. If the device launches at that level, it would be positioned firmly in the premium foldable segment and compete with other high priced smartphones available in the market.

The international model could be offered with two memory configurations. These may include 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage and another version with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The final configurations for India could differ depending on Vivo’s launch strategy.

Colour choices could include Nebula Teal and Prism Black. These options would give the phone a mix of a distinctive finish and a more traditional dark appearance.

Display technology is expected to remain one of the main attractions of the Vivo X Fold 6. The Chinese model features an 8.02 inch inner AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,504 by 2,312 pixels. The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 300 Hz touch sampling rate.

The large internal screen is designed for users who want more display space for watching videos, browsing websites, multitasking and other activities. The high refresh rate can also make supported animations and scrolling appear smoother.

Vivo has also equipped the Chinese model with a 6.51 inch AMOLED cover display. It has a resolution of 1,120 by 2,528 pixels and allows users to handle regular smartphone activities without opening the foldable device.

Software could be one of the noticeable differences between the Chinese and international versions. The Chinese model runs OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16, while the international version is expected to use OriginOS 7.

The software change would allow Vivo to prepare the device for markets outside China while adapting the user experience to its international strategy. More details about the global software package are expected closer to the launch.
