Vivo T5 5G Launched In India With 7050mAh Battery And 50MP Camera
Vivo T5 5G has entered the Indian market with a large 7050mAh battery, 50MP OIS camera, 144Hz curved AMOLED display and MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor.

Vivo has officially expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo T5 5G. The new model is aimed at buyers looking for a combination of a large battery, high refresh rate display and capable camera hardware. The phone also arrives with a relatively new software experience based on Android 16.
One of the biggest talking points of the Vivo T5 5G is its 7050mAh battery. The large capacity is paired with 44W fast charging, giving the phone a strong focus on battery life. For users who spend a lot of time watching videos, browsing social media or using mobile applications, the battery capacity is likely to be one of the phone’s main attractions.
The display is another major part of the package. Vivo has equipped the T5 5G with a 6.83 inch curved AMOLED panel. It offers a 2800 by 1260 pixel resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The display has a rated HBM brightness of up to 2000 nits, while local peak brightness can reach 3000 nits. It also has a pixel density of 449 PPI and an 8000000 to 1 contrast ratio.
Powering the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor. Vivo has paired the chipset with LPDDR4X RAM options of 6GB, 8GB and 12GB. Storage choices include 128GB and 256GB with UFS 3.1 technology. The phone also supports additional virtual RAM expansion of up to 12GB, depending on the configuration.
The camera setup has received attention as well. At the back, the Vivo T5 5G carries a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The main sensor is joined by an 8MP ultra wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. On the front, there is a 32MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls.
Software is handled by OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. This gives the smartphone a newer software platform straight out of the box. Vivo has also included an in display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
The phone is built to handle exposure to dust and water, carrying IP68 and IP69 ratings. Vivo says the device can remain in water up to 1.5 metres deep for as long as 30 minutes under the specified conditions. While the protection adds some reassurance for everyday use, users should still follow the company’s guidelines regarding water exposure.
Connectivity features include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG and a USB Type C 2.0 port. The device measures 16.442 cm in length, 7.525 cm in width and 0.799 cm in thickness. It weighs 199 grams.
Vivo has launched the T5 5G in two colour options, Royal Bronze and Silver Green. The pricing starts at ₹34,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs ₹39,999, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at ₹44,999. The top model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at ₹49,999.
The company is also offering a launch discount of up to ₹4,000 for customers using eligible Axis Bank, SBI or HDFC Bank cards. The Vivo T5 5G will be available for purchase from September 9 through Flipkart.
With its combination of a large battery, curved 144Hz AMOLED display, 50MP OIS camera and Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, the Vivo T5 5G enters the Indian market as a feature packed option in its price segment. The final appeal of the phone will depend on how these specifications translate into everyday performance and battery endurance.
