OnePlus N6 Lite Teased in Black and Green Ahead of India Launch

OnePlus is getting ready to add another affordable smartphone to its growing N6 lineup in India. The upcoming OnePlus N6 Lite has started appearing through the companys promotional material, giving consumers an early look at its design and colour choices ahead of the official launch.

The new smartphone is expected to sit at the entry level of the companys current N6 range. While OnePlus has confirmed that the phone is coming to India, several important details including its launch date, specifications and price are still being kept under wraps.

The latest teaser gives a clearer idea of what buyers can expect from the phones exterior. The OnePlus N6 Lite is shown in two colour options, black and green. Both variants feature a flat rear panel and a square shaped camera section positioned towards the upper left corner.

The camera area appears to have two openings. This could suggest a dual camera arrangement, although the company has not yet confirmed the exact camera configuration. Since the N6 Lite is expected to be an entry level device, it is also possible that one of the visible openings could serve another purpose rather than being a second camera.

The side layout has also become visible through the teaser images. The power button and volume controls appear to be placed on the right side of the handset, while the left side looks relatively clean without visible physical controls.

The phone appears to use a flat frame with a finish designed to give it a more premium appearance. However, the device is expected to remain positioned as an affordable model, so the frame could use plastic with a finish that resembles metal.

OnePlus recently introduced its N series in India as its affordable smartphone family, replacing the position previously associated with the Nord range in the companys budget portfolio. The existing lineup includes the OnePlus N6 and OnePlus N6x.

The upcoming N6 Lite is expected to become the new entry point for the series. Reports indicate that it could eventually replace the N6x as the brands most affordable option in this range.

Amazon has already been confirmed as one of the sales platforms for the OnePlus N6 Lite in India. The presence of the device on Amazon is an important indication that the phone is being prepared for a wider retail launch, although the company has not yet announced the exact date on which customers can place orders.

OnePlus is likely to reveal additional information closer to the launch. Details about the processor, cameras, display, charging system, software and battery are still awaited, along with the final price.

For comparison, the OnePlus N6x was launched in India on July 31 with a starting price of Rs 18,999 for the version with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset features a 6.8 inch HD Plus LCD display with a resolution of 720 by 1570 pixels.

The N6x display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, while its pixel density is rated at 254 pixels per inch. The screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 900 nits, giving the phone specifications aimed at the budget segment.

Powering the OnePlus N6x is a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset. The smartphone also packs a large 7000mAh battery and supports 15W wired fast charging.

The N6 Lite could offer a different balance of specifications depending on the price OnePlus chooses for the new model. As an entry level device, the company may focus on battery capacity, everyday performance and design while keeping the final cost within reach of budget smartphone buyers.

The colour teasers are currently the main confirmed information about the upcoming handset. Black and green give the phone a straightforward appearance, while the flat rear design and square camera module follow the styling seen across several recent budget smartphones.

More information is expected as OnePlus moves closer to the Indian launch. Until the company officially reveals the specifications and pricing, buyers will have to wait to see where the N6 Lite sits compared with the existing N6x.
