Motorola Razr 70 Ultra Leak Suggests Bigger Battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Power

Upcoming Motorola foldable phone may feature dual displays, upgraded cameras, larger battery and next generation flagship chipset, aiming to strengthen its position in the fast growing premium foldable smartphone segment

The foldable smartphone market continues to expand rapidly, and Motorola appears to be preparing its next major entry with the rumored Motorola Razr 70 Ultra. Early leaks suggest that the device could bring significant upgrades over its predecessor, focusing on performance, battery life, and design refinement.

Recent reports based on leaked CAD renders indicate that the new clamshell style foldable may feature a redesigned body with thinner bezels on both the inner and outer screens. The device is also expected to continue the premium design language seen in earlier Razr models, while introducing fresh color options such as Orient Blue Alcantara and Pantone Cocoa Wood.

Interestingly, the Orient Blue variant is said to come with a textured finish, giving the phone a more premium and tactile feel. Button placement remains familiar, with power and volume controls located on the right side, while a dedicated Moto AI button is rumored to be positioned on the opposite side for quick access to smart features.

The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra is expected to feature a 7 inch inner foldable display along with a 4 inch cover screen, continuing the dual screen approach that has become a signature for the Razr series. When unfolded, the device may measure around 171.3 by 74.1 by 9.6 millimeters, suggesting a slightly refined but still compact foldable form factor.

Camera upgrades are also expected to play a major role in this generation. Leaks suggest a dual 50 megapixel rear camera setup, while the inner display may house a 50 megapixel front camera within a punch hole design. This indicates a strong focus on both photography and video calling experiences across folded and unfolded modes.

Performance is rumored to be handled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, positioning the device firmly in the flagship category. Combined with a reported 4700mAh battery, the phone could offer improved endurance compared to many foldable competitors in the market.

A recent leaked video also hinted at additional hardware details, including speaker placement, SIM tray, USB Type C port, and multiple microphones placed across the frame. The inclusion of a dedicated AI button further suggests that Motorola is working on deeper software integration for smart assistance features.

The current generation Motorola Razr 60 Ultra already features a 4 inch cover display and Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, setting a strong foundation for its successor to build upon. With foldable devices becoming increasingly popular, especially in premium markets, competition in this segment continues to intensify.

While Samsung currently leads the foldable category globally, and other major players are exploring the space, the anticipated launch of the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra signals that Motorola is ready to push further with meaningful upgrades aimed at design, performance, and user experience.
