Lava has introduced the Virat V1 series in India featuring budget friendly smartphones with large displays, reliable batteries, clean software, IP64 protection and doorstep service support for buyers.

Lava has expanded its smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the new Virat V1 series. The lineup includes the Lava Virat V1 5G and Lava Virat V1, two budget smartphones designed for students, young professionals and users looking for affordable devices with modern features. The company has partnered with Flipkart for the online first launch of the new series.

The new smartphones will go on sale from July 31 at 12 noon through Flipkart and Lava’s official website. Lava Virat V1 5G is priced at Rs 12,999, while buyers can purchase it for a special launch day price of Rs 11,999. The Lava Virat V1 carries a retail price of Rs 9,999 and will be available for Rs 8,999 on the first day of the sale.

One of the major highlights of the Virat V1 5G is its large 6000mAh battery, aimed at delivering extended usage throughout the day. The standard Virat V1 comes with a 5000mAh battery. Both smartphones support 10W charging, making them suitable for users who prioritize dependable battery backup over fast charging.

The Lava Virat V1 5G features a 6.75 inch HD Plus display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for improved scrolling and gaming performance. The standard Virat V1 also offers a 6.75 inch HD Plus display but with a 90Hz refresh rate, providing a better viewing experience compared to traditional 60Hz panels.

Performance differs between the two models. The Virat V1 5G is powered by the UNISOC T8200 processor, while the Virat V1 runs on the UNISOC SC9863A chipset. Both smartphones include 4GB RAM along with support for an additional 4GB of virtual RAM. They also offer 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.

On the software side, the Virat V1 5G ships with Android 16, while the Virat V1 comes with Android 15 Go Edition. Lava says both devices deliver a clean user experience without unwanted advertisements or preinstalled bloatware, allowing users to enjoy a simpler and smoother interface.

Photography features remain similar across both smartphones. Each model includes a 13 megapixel AI powered dual rear camera setup for everyday photography. On the front, users get a 5 megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Lava has also focused on durability and customer support. Both smartphones come with an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and light water splashes. In addition, buyers will receive Lava’s Free Service at Home facility, allowing customers to schedule doorstep service and repairs without visiting a service center.

The Virat V1 5G will be available in Arya Blue and Sonar Gold color options, while the Virat V1 comes in Nilgiri Blue and Himalayan Silver. In terms of design, the Virat V1 5G weighs 210 grams and measures 165.85 x 76.8 x 8.75mm, while the Virat V1 has dimensions of 164.96 x 76.1 x 8.5mm.

With competitive pricing, clean software, dependable battery life and the convenience of doorstep after sales service, Lava is aiming to strengthen its position in India’s highly competitive budget smartphone market through the new Virat V1 series.
