itel Brings Jio Affordable Plan Support to 4G Feature Phones in India

itel expands connectivity options for feature phone users by enabling access to Jio’s budget recharge plans, offering more value and wider reach across India’s growing affordable mobile segment

itel has announced a major update for its 4G feature phone users in India, confirming that they will now be able to access Reliance Jio’s Rs 123 recharge plan. Earlier, this affordable plan was limited only to Jio’s own feature phone devices, but the latest move opens it up to a wider user base. The company says this step is aimed at improving affordable digital connectivity across the country.

The Rs 123 plan is designed for users who prefer low cost mobile usage with basic data needs. It offers a validity of 28 days along with unlimited calling across all networks. Users also receive 0.5GB of daily data, which totals around 14GB for the full cycle. According to industry estimates, this plan can help feature phone users save nearly Rs 1000 annually compared to other options in the market.

Along with this plan, itel users will also gain access to additional Jio recharge packs. These include the Rs 234 plan with 56 days validity, the Rs 369 plan valid for 84 days, and the Rs 1234 long term pack offering 336 days of service. All these plans continue to provide 0.5GB daily data, making them suitable for light internet usage and essential communication needs.

The company highlighted that its distribution strength plays a key role in making such services accessible. itel currently operates through more than 1.3 lakh retail outlets across India and supports customers through over 1000 service centers. It also offers a one year counter replacement facility, allowing users to replace devices with manufacturing defects directly from retail stores within the warranty period.

Interestingly, this announcement comes shortly after itel expanded its smartphone lineup in India. The company recently introduced the itel A100 Pro, a budget smartphone featuring a 6.6 inch HD Plus display with 90Hz refresh rate, a 5000mAh battery, and the Unisoc T7100 processor. The device also includes Android 15 Go edition, DTS audio support, an 8MP rear camera, and MIL STD 810H certification for added durability.

With this latest partnership, itel is clearly strengthening its position in India’s entry level mobile market, focusing on affordability, wider network access, and improved user convenience for feature phone customers.
