E3 Trion Electric Scooter Debuts With Up to 165 km Range and Smart AI Features

E3 Electric AI has introduced the E3 Trion electric scooter in three variants offering long riding range AI powered features connected technology and practical storage for everyday commuting.

India’s electric two wheeler market continues to expand rapidly as new manufacturers introduce feature packed products to attract buyers looking for affordable and efficient mobility solutions. Adding fresh competition to this growing segment, Bengaluru based startup E3 Electric AI has officially launched the new E3 Trion electric scooter. Designed for both daily commuting and longer urban rides, the scooter arrives with multiple battery options, intelligent connected features and a claimed maximum riding range of up to 165 kilometers on a single charge depending on the variant.

The company has positioned the E3 Trion as a practical electric scooter for a wide range of customers. From office commuters to students and families, the scooter aims to deliver convenience through its combination of long battery life, smart technology and spacious design. The introductory price starts at around Rs 1 lakh ex showroom, making it a competitive option in the fast growing electric mobility market.

Unlike many scooters that offer only one battery configuration, E3 Electric AI has launched the Trion in three distinct variants named C1, C1x and C2. Each version is designed to meet different customer requirements based on riding habits, performance expectations and budget. This flexible approach gives buyers the opportunity to choose a model that best matches their daily travel needs.

The entry level C1 variant is equipped with a removable 2.3 kWh battery pack. According to the company, this model offers a claimed IDC certified riding range of around 108 kilometers on a full charge. It has a top speed of 67 kilometers per hour, making it suitable for regular city commuting and short distance travel.

Customers looking for greater range can opt for the C1x variant. This version comes with a larger fixed 3 kWh battery pack and delivers the highest claimed IDC range in the lineup at approximately 165 kilometers. Such a range could significantly reduce charging frequency for many riders, especially those with longer daily travel requirements.

The third version, known as the C2, also features a 3 kWh battery but offers a claimed riding range of around 128 kilometers. However, it focuses more on performance by providing a higher top speed of 82 kilometers per hour. This makes it an attractive option for riders who prefer quicker acceleration and higher cruising speeds while still enjoying impressive battery efficiency.

One of the biggest highlights of the E3 Trion is its focus on smart technology. The scooter includes several Artificial Intelligence powered features that aim to improve the overall ownership experience. As connected vehicles become increasingly popular, E3 Electric AI has integrated digital technologies that allow riders to stay informed and connected throughout their journey.

The scooter comes equipped with a five inch digital display that supports smartphone connectivity. Riders can access important vehicle information while also benefiting from connected features that simplify day to day usage. The display has been designed to provide clear visibility and easy navigation of vehicle data.

Among the notable connected features are geofencing capabilities, allowing owners to define specific operational boundaries for the scooter. The system also provides charging related information, helping users monitor battery status and charging progress more efficiently. Additionally, the scooter includes dashcam functions that add an extra layer of convenience and security during rides.

Performance customization is another important aspect of the E3 Trion. Riders can choose between three riding modes including Eco, Power and Sport. Eco mode is intended to maximize battery efficiency for longer travel distances. Power mode balances performance with efficiency, while Sport mode delivers enhanced acceleration and responsiveness for those seeking a more energetic riding experience.

The scooter also focuses on everyday practicality through its exterior design and utility features. It is fitted with dual projector LED headlamps that promise improved illumination during night rides. Rear LED lighting further enhances visibility and contributes to the scooter’s modern appearance.

Storage capacity has also received considerable attention. The E3 Trion offers a combined storage space of 52 liters, providing enough room for helmets, shopping bags and other daily essentials. This makes the scooter more suitable for family use and urban commuting where carrying personal belongings is often necessary.

The launch comes at a time when India’s electric vehicle market is witnessing remarkable growth. Consumer demand for environmentally friendly transportation continues to rise as charging infrastructure expands and manufacturers introduce better products with improved battery technology and longer range. Buyers today are also paying closer attention to connected features, software integration and intelligent riding assistance in addition to traditional performance specifications.

Recent industry sales figures reflect the increasing popularity of electric two wheelers across the country. More than 193000 electric two wheelers were reportedly sold in July alone, demonstrating sustained demand despite growing competition among manufacturers. Established brands continue to dominate the market while startups are entering with innovative offerings to capture new customers.

TVS Motor retained its leading position in the electric two wheeler segment during July by selling more than 52500 units, securing a market share of over 27 percent. Bajaj Auto followed in second place with sales exceeding 43600 units of its Chetak electric scooter. Ather Energy maintained the third position despite facing a decline in sales during the same period.

Against this competitive backdrop, E3 Electric AI hopes the Trion will appeal to buyers looking beyond conventional electric scooters. Its combination of multiple battery choices, respectable riding range, connected AI driven technology, modern lighting, practical storage and competitive pricing could help it establish a presence in India’s expanding electric mobility landscape.

As customer expectations continue to evolve, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on delivering products that combine performance, intelligence and convenience. The E3 Trion reflects this changing trend by offering not only electric mobility but also digital features designed to make daily commuting more efficient and enjoyable. With increasing interest in sustainable transportation, the new scooter enters the market at a time when demand for feature rich electric vehicles continues to gain momentum.
