Former Prime Minister and JDS chief HD Deve Gowda has announced that sitting MP Prajwal Revanna will contest from Hassan constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. By this, the speculations that were being heard regarding the selection of the candidate for the Hassan constituency have been put to rest.
Speaking at a recent meeting at Kattebelaguli Sriramdevara Katte in Holenaraseepur taluk, he said that JDS-BJP have decided to fight against the Congress together in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He said that Prajwal Revanna will contest again.
JDS has joined with Narendra Modi leadership NDA, who has grown up to be a big man in the country, let’s work together with BJP without envy and criticism. He called us to work hard to win the sitting MP of Hassan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, B.S. Yeddyurappa, H.D. Kumaraswamy, B.Y. Vijayendra, R. Ashok will sit and decide. There is no confusion about Hassan constituency. He said that there is a sitting JDS MP and he will contest. Commenting on his contest in the Lok Sabha elections, he said, ‘Currently he is a member of the Rajya Sabha and he has two more years left.
