Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, announced his retirement from electoral politics in Mysuru on Tuesday in his home constituency. Siddaramaiah’s decision has shocked his fans. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah announced retirement to Electoral Politics.
Talking to reporters in the district, he said, I am getting old. Assembly elections will be held after the next four years. I will not contest the next assembly elections. He said that he is going to withdraw from electoral politics. CM Siddaramaiah himself has explained the reasons behind this decision.
They themselves know about their physical condition and health. I am not able to work as enthusiastically as I used to. I have no worries. There is only tension if there is anxiety. I don’t have anything like that. Therefore, I have decided to withdraw from electoral politics, he clarified.
Siddaramaiah had talked about retirement before:
Earlier, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had talked about announcing his retirement from politics. He had said that he would withdraw from the upcoming assembly election politics in April 2023. He was the opposition leader then.
Before that CM Siddaramaiah contested the election in Badami assembly constituency against B.Sreeramulu, this will be my last election. I will not stand for election again. He said that he will retire from electoral politics.
MLA Yathindra Siddaramaiah’s political path is expected to be further smoothened after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah retires from electoral politics. Because Siddaramaiah’s son contested from the constituency where his father contested and won. There is an increase in Kuruba community voters here, which will be a boon for Yathindra.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is currently busy campaigning for his party’s candidate in the Mysore Lok Sabha constituency. He has stayed in Mysore for a couple of days. The victory in this constituency is a prestige for the Congress and for Siddaramaiah personally. In this background, he has participated in a huge campaign. At the same time, his statement that he will stay away from electoral politics has once again raised a debate.
