DK Shivakumar CM, BY Vijayendra DCM: Yatnal revealed Amit Shah meeting secret
DK Shivakumar: The situation in the Karnataka Congress regarding the Chief Minister’s chair continues to be highly volatile, with the rivalry between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DKS) constantly flaring up despite attempts by the central High Command to enforce a truce.
Amidst this intense internal conflict in the Congress, the statements by expelled BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal have indeed taken an explosive turn, primarily targeting the BJP’s own state leadership for alleged “adjustment politics” with DKS.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar (DK CM plan) and BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra (Vijayendra DCM plan) and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been brought to light by BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal.
Shivakumar Meeting Amit Shah: Yatnal made an explosive claim that B.Y. Vijayendra, in an attempt to secure a Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) post for himself, escorted D.K. Shivakumar to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Yatnal stated that this proposal was ultimately rejected by the BJP High Command (central leadership).
Speaking to TV 9 Kannada in Belagavi, Yatnal said that BJP state president BY Vijayendra and DCM DK Shivakumar met in Delhi and an agreement was made that DK Shivakumar would be the CM and Vijayendra the DCM. In this regard, Vijayendra took DK Shivakumar to Delhi and the two discussed it in front of Amit Shah.
During this time, there was also a discussion about DK Shivakumar being the CM and Vijayendra being the DCM. Crucially, Yatnal asserts that the proposal was not approved by the BJP central leadership, specifically Amit Shah, who “has not given any green light to the business of the two.”
