The 21st installment falls under the December to March cycle. While the exact official date is yet to be announced by the government, various media reports suggest the release is broadly expected in late November 2025 or December 2025. Some sources also suggest an expected credit in February 2026 as part of the December-March window.
About 10 crore farmers are waiting for the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The 19th installment was released in February. The 20th installment was delayed and released in August. The 21st installment was expected to be released in the last week of October or the first week of November.
However, it has not happened yet. This delay may be due to the government verifying the KYC documents. Farmers who have registered and benefited from the scheme in violation of the rules given in the guidelines of the PM Kisan scheme are being identified.
Work is underway to remove the names of these ineligible beneficiaries from the list. It is said that the number of farmers who are receiving money despite being ineligible in this way is in the millions.
This time, some farmers received Rs 4,000 instead of Rs 2,000:
Last time, some eligible farmers did not receive the 20th installment due to KYC and other issues. Work is being done to physically verify the KYC documents. That is, the beneficiaries will have to visit their district office in person and submit their KYC documents.
If these documents are correct, such farmers will get the two installments this time, including the installment they missed last time. That is, Rs 4,000 can be credited to the account of these farmers.
