Newly Married Man Murdered in Haryana Allegedly by Wife and Her Lover

A newly married man was allegedly murdered in Haryana after his wife and her lover planned the crime with the help of associates before disposing of his body in a canal.

Gurugram: Police in Haryana have arrested a woman and her alleged lover after uncovering a conspiracy behind the murder of her husband in Rewari district. The case came to light after the victim’s body was recovered from a canal following a missing person complaint.

According to investigators, 21 year old Monu, a resident of Jarthal village, had recently married Tannu from Kasoli village. Police believe the woman was unhappy with the marriage and wanted to continue her relationship with another man identified as Sonu. Investigators allege that the two conspired to eliminate Monu.

On the night of June 8, Monu was travelling on his scooter when he received a phone call from his wife asking him to come to Kasoli village. Police said two men, identified as Hariom and Aman, were already waiting there after being sent by Sonu.

As soon as Monu reached the location, he was allegedly attacked by the group. After the assault, his body was reportedly thrown into the Asalwas canal in an attempt to destroy evidence and make the crime appear as a disappearance.

When Monu failed to return home the following day, his father approached the police and filed a missing person complaint. During the search operation, officers recovered Monu’s body from the canal and launched a detailed investigation.

Police questioned Tannu and Sonu after finding inconsistencies in their statements. During the investigation, officials uncovered the alleged murder plot and arrested the accused. The role of the other suspects is also being examined, and further legal proceedings are underway.
