IMD issued heavy rainfall: February has come to an end. Cold is saying goodbye to North India. Meanwhile, there are signs of climate change in the country. The effect of rain has been seen in many states of North India. India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued heavy rainfall alert in these states till March 2.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh will experience heavy rain and snowfall till February 28, and its impact will also be felt in Uttarakhand on February 27 and 28.On the other hand, heat wave is likely in some areas of Konkan.

According to the IMD, due to an active Western Disturbance, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh will experience heavy rain and snowfall in the next two-three days. Uttarakhand will be most affected on February 27 and 28.

Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR may experience light to moderate rains with thundershowers between February 27 and March 1.Hail showers with strong winds are expected in Punjab and Haryana on February 27 and 28.

Delhi-NCR Weather:

Amid the recent showers in Delhi, the skies will remain cloudy and light rain is expected for the next few days. The maximum temperature is between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is 15 to 17 degrees.

Mild effect in central and eastern India:

Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh may record light rain between February 27 and March 1.On the other hand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe may experience thundershowers between February 27 and March 2. Heavy rain is expected in Lakshadweep on March 1 and 2.

Hot air in Konkan and Goa:

Heat wave may prevail in different parts of Konkan and Goa during next 24 hours. The temperature may increase by 5 degrees above normal. Apart from this, Gujarat, coastal Karnataka and some parts of Vidarbha will also experience hot and humid weather.
