Regions with Heavy Rain Alerts:

Northwest India:

Extremely Heavy Rainfall in East Rajasthan till July 6. Very Heavy Rainfall in Himachal Pradesh (July 5-7), Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana (July 6-7). Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab (until July 9); East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan (July 3-5); Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh (July 5-9); Jammu (July 5-8).

Localized flooding in hilly zones, scattered thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 km/h) in Uttar Pradesh and Jammu region. Extremely Heavy Rainfall in South Konkan (south coastal Maharashtra) & Goa (July 4 and again between July 6-7); Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra (July 3, 6-7).

Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in Konkan & Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region, Saurashtra & Kutch (during the next 7 days). Moderate risk of flash floods in low-lying areas of Saurashtra, transportation disruptions in urban coastal regions, lightning, and gusty winds (30–40 km/h).

Very Heavy Rainfall in East Madhya Pradesh (July 4-7); West Madhya Pradesh (July 4-6); Odisha (until July 5); Chhattisgarh (July 6-7). Heavy Rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha (July 3, 5, 6); Vidarbha (July 3-8); Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal (July 3-9).

River swelling, waterlogging in low-lying urban pockets, short-term urban flooding in Odisha, gusty winds and thunderstorm activity in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

Extremely Heavy Rainfall in Meghalaya (July 6, also July 5-6 with isolated extremely heavy showers). Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura (during next 7 days).

Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in Coastal Karnataka and Kerala (until July 9); Karnataka’s interior regions, Mahe, Telangana, Tamil Nadu (showers of varying intensities). Telangana is forecast for heavy rain on July 4.
