Father Arrested After Teen Girl’s Body Found in Train Box

Police solved the Woman body in Box mystery after discovering a teenage girl’s body inside a metal box abandoned in a train sleeper coach, leading investigators to her father and relatives.

Police in Uttar Pradesh have solved the disturbing Woman body in Box case after a teenage girl’s body was discovered inside a metal trunk left in a train sleeper coach at Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar railway station.

The shocking incident came to light on May 17 when railway cleaning staff noticed a locked iron box and a bag abandoned inside an express train that had completed its journey. Blood stains on the luggage raised suspicion, prompting workers to alert railway police immediately.

After breaking open the trunk, officers found the torso of a young girl inside. Her severed hands and legs were packed separately in another bag. The brutal discovery triggered an extensive investigation by railway police and local authorities.

Investigators later examined CCTV footage collected from several railway stations along the train route. Based on the recordings, police identified three suspects connected to the crime. Authorities confirmed that the victim was 15 year old Shabba from Kushinagar district.

Police arrested the girl’s father Biggan Ansari along with his sister Noorjahan and brother in law Mujibulla. During questioning, the accused reportedly confessed to planning and carrying out the murder.

According to police officials, the father became angry after noticing his daughter speaking on the phone with a boy from another community. Even after repeated warnings, she reportedly continued the relationship. Investigators said the accused feared social humiliation and suspected his younger daughter might leave home like his other daughters had done earlier.

Police stated that Ansari allegedly sent his wife and two sons to a relative’s house before carrying out the crime on May 16 with the help of his relatives. Officers revealed that the victim was murdered inside the house before the body was dismembered.

The accused allegedly threw the girl’s head into a village pond while packing the torso in the metal trunk and placing the severed limbs in a separate bag. Police said the three then travelled nearly four kilometres from their house to Tamkuhi Road railway station carrying the luggage.

Investigators believe the accused boarded an express train and left the trunk and bag beneath a berth in the sleeper coach before quietly moving through an AC compartment to avoid suspicion. CCTV footage from railway stations eventually helped police trace and arrest all three accused.

Police officials said further investigation into the case is continuing.
