Aadhaar Card Update New Rules: Do it for free before December 14th

Aadhaar card Free Updates: It is not necessary to explain how important Aadhaar card is for the citizens of India. Unique Identification Authority of India till December 14 online for any updates related to Aadhaar card can be done by paying a minimum of Rs 50 only. Candidates can make any changes including their name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number and email.

But you can update any information in Aadhaar card online for free. Those who want to change their photo and biometric details should visit the Aadhaar Enrollment Center directly. And the related information should be filled. You can’t update it anywhere else as it requires a special device to take a fingerprint and eye photo. So it is imperative that you visit the Aadhaar center directly.

Why is it mandatory to update Aadhaar card:

UIDAI, which manages Aadhaar cards, has said that it is mandatory to update the Aadhaar card photo once every 10 years. You need to ensure that the documents you provided before 10 years are correct or need to update the documents.

After getting married, the basic details like name and address need to be changed. Change of address should also be done when moving to new areas. Some need to change their mobile number. You can do all these tasks online.

Step to update Aadhaar card online:

Visit the official website of Unique Identification Authority of India (uidai.gov.in) and create a login ID and password here.

Select on the My Aadhaar tab. Here you will see an option called Update Your Aadhaar in the drop down menu.
Enter your Aadhaar number here. After this complete captcha verification. After this click on Send OTP option.

Now OTP will be sent to your official mobile number, now click on login option. Now enter all the information you want to click on your Aadhaar card. After entering all the changes click on Submit option.

If you need to submit documents for updated details, please submit soft copies of those documents.
After submitting all your documents, click on the Submit Update Request document and your online update process will be completed.

Now URN number or update request number will be sent to your official mobile number. Click on it. Through this tracking id you can check whether your aadhaar card is updated or not.
