PM Modi Udupi Visit: District Administration Issued new guidelines

PM Modi Udupi Visit: Udupi District Magistrate Swaroop TK has issued an order to take various security measures as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Udupi Sri Krishna Matha on November 28. This order has been issued under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS) 2023.

In order to strengthen the security system in the area where the Prime Minister will be visiting, shops and stalls around the helipad complex, Sri Krishna Math complex and the guest house have been temporarily closed.

Similarly, the district administration has directed that shops on both sides of the route where the Prime Minister will be travelling will be closed from 9 am to 3 pm on November 28.

Drone flying ban:

A ‘no fly zone’ has been declared within a 5 km radius of the city from 6 am on November 26 to 6 pm on November 28.

What are the restrictions for the public?

The public coming to see the Prime Minister has been advised not to bring bags, water bottles, flags, stickers, balloons, firecrackers, loose polythene items. The district administration has warned that legal action will be taken if the order is violated.

Prime Minister Modi is coming to Udupi to participate in the Lakshakanta Geeta Parayana held at the Math by the Paryaya Puttige Math of Krishna Math. He will arrive at Mangalore International Airport from Delhi at 11.05 am on November 28 and will immediately leave for Udupi by helicopter at 11.10 am. He will reach Udupi’s helipad at 11.35 am.

Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the golden porch of Krishna Math and the golden cover of Kanakana Kindi to the public. Prime Minister Modi, who will have darshan of Lord Krishna, will participate in the Lakshakanta Geeta singing program. He will also recite 10 verses from the Bhagavad Gita during this event. One lakh devotees are expected to participate in this religious festival.
