Chinnayya arrest Sujatha Bhat U-turn: Big Twist in Dharmasthala case

Chinnayya Arrest: C. N. Chinnayya, the individual often referred to as the “masked man” in the Dharmasthala case, was arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Chinnayya arrest Sujatha Bhat U-turn: Big Twist in Dharmasthala case.

The primary reason for his arrest was for allegedly providing false information. While he initially came forward with a complaint about mass burials and was a key witness, subsequent developments in the investigation led to his arrest.

Sujatha Bhat, a key complainant in the Dharmasthala case, has made a complete “U-turn” on her previous claims. Sujatha Bhat, who had filed a complaint claiming her daughter, Ananya Bhat, went missing from Dharmasthala in 2003, has now stated in an interview that she never had a daughter named Ananya.

She confessed that the story about her missing daughter was fabricated and that she was instigated to make the false complaint by activists Girish Mattannavar and others. She claimed that her motivation was a grievance over a family property dispute and that she wanted to settle a score with certain people. She apologized to the public and the Dharmasthala temple for her false claims.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been investigating her original complaint. Following her retraction, the SIT has reportedly served a notice to her to appear for questioning and to submit documents related to her daughter, Ananya Bhat.

While there is no confirmed reports of her being arrested at this moment, the fact that she has admitted to making a false police complaint and that an SIT is actively investigating the matter means she could potentially face legal consequences, including arrest, for providing false information to the police.

The police have already found that some of her claims, like her daughter studying at a particular medical college, were false. The situation is highly fluid, and the SIT is now looking at the case from a new angle, investigating the possibility of a conspiracy to defame the Dharmasthala temple.

The arrest of other individuals involved in making or spreading similar claims, like the “masked man” and activist Mahesh Shetty Thimarody, suggests that law enforcement is taking action against those who have made claims that are later found to be false.
