The Department of Education has issued a media announcement that the government, aided and unaided elementary and secondary schools working and holiday list of 2025-26. Activities for the year 2024-25 are being completed and the school is scheduled to be opened from May 29, 2025, as usual, to start the academic year of 2025-26.
Accordingly, the annual academic schedule prepare to help the implementation of uniform educational activities in the academic line of 2025-26 in all the state curriculum government, aided and unaided primary and secondary schools in the state.
School working days for 2025-26:
First period: 2025 May 29 to September 19
Second period: 2025 October 08 to 2026 April 10
School holidays for 2025-26:
Dasara Vacation: 2025 September 20 to October 07
Summer Vacation: 2026 April 11 to 2026 May 05
There will be a total of 123 school will closed in the academic year of 2025-26 and the remaining 242 days will be held, 26 days for testing and validation, 22 days for extracurricular activity, text activity, competition management work, 10 days for assessment and result analysis, 04 for school local holidays and 178 days for teaching learning.
