Major Twist in NEET Aspirant Suicide Case: Investigation Reveals Real Reason
A police investigation into the suicide of Kalaburagi student Bhagyashree reveals a major twist. She didn't end her life over NEET, but out of fear after failing her II PUC Math exam.
Kalaburagi: A major twist has emerged in the case of Bhagyashree, a student from Kalaburagi who reportedly ended her life. While it was initially believed that she committed suicide due to distress over the NEET exam, a detailed police investigation has uncovered shocking new details, revealing that her tragic step was actually linked to her II PUC (Class 12) results.
According to the police probe, when the initial II PUC results were announced, Bhagyashree had failed in two core subjects: Physics and Mathematics. Fearing backlash or reprimand from her parents, she lied to them, claiming she had scored an impressive 92%.
Under this pretext, she went on to appear for the NEET exam like other medical aspirants. She had quietly planned to clear the two failed subjects during the II PUC remedial/supplementary (Exam-2) exams without her parents ever finding out.
However, things did not go as planned. Although she managed to pass the Physics exam with 51 marks in the second attempt, she unfortunately failed the mathematics paper once again. Overwhelmed by the fear and anxiety that her parents would inevitably discover the truth about her academic failure, Bhagyashree tragically chose to end her life.
Unaware that their daughter had failed her II PUC exams, her grieving parents initially assumed that she took the extreme step out of distress surrounding the highly competitive NEET exam. They had filed a complaint at the Station Bazar Police Station, explicitly stating, “We do not blame anyone for our daughter’s suicide.”
With the police investigation laying bare the facts, the actual truth behind Bhagyashree’s demise has now come to light. It is a deeply tragic reminder of how an impulsive decision, driven by the fear of revealing academic results to parents, cut short a young life with a bright future ahead.
