Karnataka LKG-UKG Admissions 2026-27 new Guidelines:

Enrollment Drive: All approved pre-primary classes across districts must be started immediately. Officials are instructed to boost student enrollment by conducting widespread awareness campaigns and enrollment drives.

Student Strength Limits: It has been made mandatory to maintain a minimum of 20 students and a maximum of 40 students in the LKG and UKG classes of each school.

Condition for Honorarium Release: Registering the details of enrolled children on the UDISE+ portal is absolutely essential. It has been clarified that the honorariums for teachers and ayahs (caretakers) will be released solely based on this data.

Warning to Officials: The memorandum warns that if pre-primary enrollments do not meet the targeted levels, the respective Taluk and District ECCE Nodal Officers, Block Education Officers (BEO), and Deputy Directors (DDPI) will be held directly responsible.

Copies of this order have been forwarded to all Deputy Directors (DDPI), Block Education Officers (BEO), Headmasters of Government Primary Schools, and top officials of the Department of School Education and Literacy for immediate necessary action.
