Karnataka government announced New School Timings Across the State

The Karnataka School Education Department has announced a major relief for students, parents, and teachers by introducing a uniform Saturday school schedule across the state. The new timetable aims to eliminate the confusion caused by varying school timings in different districts.

Under the revised order, all government, aided, and private schools in Karnataka will operate on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The School Education and Literacy Department has directed that classes be conducted for only four hours on Saturdays.

Until now, Saturday school timings differed across districts. While some schools began classes as early as 7:30 AM, others started at 8:00 AM, leading to confusion among students and parents. With the introduction of a single statewide schedule, the government has put an end to these inconsistencies.

New Decision Brings Relief to Students, Parents and Teachers:

The revised timings are expected to benefit students by sparing them from rushing to school early on Saturday mornings. Parents will also have greater clarity regarding school schedules.

The department said the new uniform timing will also help teachers, particularly in updating the state’s online attendance system accurately and on time without technical issues.

The order has come into immediate effect, and all government, aided, and private schools across Karnataka have been instructed to strictly follow the new Saturday timetable.
