FIR against hotel manager for alleged misconduct with woman at Bengaluru’s MG Road

Bengaluru : A case has been registered against a hotel manager in Bengaluru after a woman accused him of misbehaving and assaulting her during a dispute at a restaurant on MG Road.
The complainant, Keerthi, had visited Tandoor Hotel with her friends on April 27 afternoon when the incident occurred. According to police sources, a minor disagreement between the customers and the manager reportedly escalated into a heated argument.
The accused, identified as Ravi, allegedly abused the woman verbally and physically during the altercation. The complaint further states that he attempted to outrage her modesty by trying to tear her clothes.
Following the incident, the victim approached the Halasuru Police Station and filed a complaint. Based on her statement, police registered an FIR and initiated legal proceedings against the accused.
Police officials confirmed that CCTV footage from the hotel premises has been collected as part of the investigation. “We are verifying all available evidence, including video footage and witness statements. Appropriate action will be taken after a thorough probe,” an officer said.
Investigators are currently questioning staff members and others present at the scene to piece together the sequence of events. The exact cause of the dispute and the circumstances that led to the alleged assault are being examined.
