Father sexually abuse 8-year-old son: Court sentences man 90 years prison

A fast-track court in Taliparamba sentenced a man to 90 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually harassment to 8-year-old son. Father sexually abuse 8-year-old son: Kerala Court sentences man 90 years prison.

Special court judge Rajesh R on Thursday convicted the 44-year-old man of sexually assaulting his minor son (under 12 age) under one section of the IPC and four sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.

The father was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment under Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the IPC, and 20 years’ imprisonment each under Sections 3(a), 5(l), (m), and (n) of the POCSO Act, the Special Public Prosecutor for Sexual Offenses Against Children Prosecutor Sherimol Jose said. As the sentences run concurrently, they will have to serve only 20 years in prison.

According to the media report, the incident came to light on July 26, 2018. However, the boy told the police that his father had sexually assaulted him several times in the past.
