Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2023 counselling is expected to be held in the last week of July (Tentative for 2023). The KCET 2023 counselling will be held in 2 rounds by Karnataka Education Authority (KEA). KCET Counselling 2023: These 10 important document need to carry.

The candidates will be allotted seats based on the merit list, institution and course preference. The candidates should consider their marks, merit list, seat availability in institutions, and reservations while filling the preference list.

The KCET counselling includes the registration process, choice filling and locking, fee payment process, seat allotment, reporting to the respective institutes, and document verification.

Candidates are advised to keep their KCET 2023 scorecards along with them till the completion of the counselling process.

KCET 2023 Counselling required document:

– KCET 2023 application form

– KCET 2023 scorecard and admit card

– Proof of KCET 2023 application fee payment

– Class 10 and 12 marksheet/certificate

– Recent passport-size photographs (two copies)

– Income certificate

– 7-year study certificate countersigned by the concerned BEO / DDPI- Rural study certificate

– Caste certificate, if required

– Kannada medium certificate (students who have studied in Kannada Medium from Class 1 to 10)

– A valid identity card

Step 1: Verification of documents and Registration

Qualified candidates should take the original documents to the specified centres for verification. After the verification of documents is done by the concerned authorities unique ID and password will be given to the candidates.

Step 2: Institution and course preference filling and locking

After the document verification is done, candidates should visit the official website and enter the required credentials to open the page to update the course and institution preference. Before entering the course preference candidates should check the course wise, institution wise and category wise seat matrix released by the concerned authority on the official website.

The candidates should select the college and course in the order of preferences. After filling the choices, candidates should lock the list of preferences.

Step 3: Seat allotment  

After the candidates fill the preferred choices, the mock seat allotment list will be released on the official website. The mock seat allotment helps the candidates understand the chances of admission based on their rank and choice preference.

The candidates will be allowed to make changes in their choices after the mock seat allotment. After that three rounds of counselling will be held. If the candidates are satisfied with the seat allotted to them, then they can take a printout of the provisional allotment letter to show it at the allotted institution.

Step 4: Reporting at the institutions

The next step is to report at the allotted institution. The candidates must produce the original documents, provisional allotment letter at the time of reporting. The candidates should pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.
