Panic gripped Rajasthan’s Bharatpur after three people were killed in a firing after a heated argument. The accused is on the run and a large police force has been deployed to maintain the law and order situation. Army officer, Police among 3 killed in firing in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.

Three brothers were killed and three others sustained grievous injuries in a firing incident in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district. The fight that initially started between two friends over a drink took an ugly turn in which one of the accused barged into the house of the other and opened fire on his family members. The deceased Gajendra was posted in Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) and one of the victims was posted as a police constable. The incident happened in Kumher police station area where a person identified as Lakhan Singh and his associates opened fire at his friend’s family after a heated argument, police said.

Three people Gajendra, Samandar and Ishwar died on the spot while three others, including a woman, received injuries and were immediately rushed to a community healthcare centre. The injured victims were then referred to Jaipur after their health conditions worsened.

Lakhan Singh was friends with deceased Gajendra Singh’s son, Tony but the two had a fight over a drink. Bharatpur SSP Anil Meena told India Today, “The houses of the victim and the accused are situated next to each other.

Tony, son of deceased Gajendra, and accused Lakhan Singh were friends, but both of them had a fight last November 24 while drinking alcohol. The dispute was later resolved by sarpanch. However, Lakhan opened fire at the family members of Tony, killing three.”

According to preliminary information, Lakhan Singh is a wanted criminal and has many complaints registered against him. Singh and his family members are on the run and police are trying to nab them. Meanwhile, a large police force has been deployed at the spot as the incident has triggered panic in the region. The deceased Gajendra was posted in Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC).
