Hotel owner kills worker over financial dispute in Shivamogga

Shivamogga ; A shocking murder incident has been reported from Sagar town in Shivamogga district, where a hotel owner allegedly killed his employee following a financial dispute. The incident occurred at a rooftop café located on Shivamogga Road, sending shockwaves across the locality.

The deceased has been identified as Tinku Sharma (30), a native of Bihar, who was working at the café. The accused, Imran, the owner of the establishment, has been taken into custody by the Sagar police. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

According to preliminary reports, frequent arguments had been taking place between the owner and the worker over monetary issues. On Thursday morning, the dispute reportedly escalated into a heated altercation. During the argument, Imran allegedly assaulted Tinku Sharma, leading to his death.

Shivamogga Superintendent of Police Nikil stated, “There was a financial dispute between the two. During the altercation, the accused assaulted the worker, which resulted in his death. We have taken the आरोपी into custody and are investigating the case from all angles.”

The body of the victim was later found inside a Honda City car, raising further suspicion about attempts to conceal the crime. Police rushed to the scene after receiving information and shifted the body for post-mortem examination.

Local residents expressed shock over the incident, stating that such violent acts over financial disagreements are deeply concerning. “We often saw workers and owners having minor disputes, but never imagined it would end in such a brutal manner,” a local said.

Police officials are now probing whether the murder was premeditated or a result of sudden provocation. Statements from witnesses and other staff members of the café are being recorded as part of the investigation.

The incident has once again highlighted the vulnerability of migrant workers, who often face exploitation and unsafe working conditions. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against the accused as per the law.
