Illicit relationships lead to doctor wife’s murder, shocking details emerge

Bengaluru : In a chilling case that has sent shockwaves across the state, fresh revelations have emerged in the brutal murder of Dr. Krithika Reddy, allegedly killed by her husband, Dr. Mahendra Reddy. Both were practicing doctors, but their seemingly stable marriage masked deep personal turmoil.

According to police sources, Mahendra Reddy maintained multiple illicit relationships with several women, both before and after his marriage to Krithika. The investigation has revealed that he was in touch with nearly half a dozen women from Bengaluru, Mumbai, and other cities, often maintaining close and secretive contact through social media and calls.

Tensions between the couple had reportedly intensified in recent months after Krithika confronted her husband about his extramarital affairs. Despite repeated warnings and appeals from her and her parents, Mahendra allegedly continued his relationships, leading to frequent quarrels at home. Police believe this sustained domestic conflict could have been the motive behind the murder.

Investigators are now examining the suspect’s call detail records (CDR) and messages to gather concrete evidence about his connections with other women. “We are verifying communication data to establish the motive and timeline of the crime,” a senior police officer said.

Krithika’s parents have also accused Mahendra of mental harassment and infidelity, claiming that their daughter had confided in them about her husband’s affairs. The police are likely to summon several individuals linked to Mahendra as part of the ongoing investigation.
