Sourav Ganguly elected as chairman of the ICC
Sourav Ganguly has been re-elected as the chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Cricket Committee. According to a statement released by the sport’s global governing body on Sunday, VVS Laxman has also been retained as a committee member.
Ganguly, 52, who led India with remarkable success from 2000 to 2005, first took over as the chairman of the committee in 2021, succeeding Anil Kumble. Kumble had completed his maximum tenure of three years.

Ganguly and Laxman are joined in the men’s panel by former Afghanistan cricketer Hamid Hasan, West Indies legend Desmond Haynes, South Africa’s Test and ODI captain Temba Bavuma and former England batsman Jonathan Trott.
The ICC Women’s Cricket Committee has been restructured, with former New Zealand off-spinner Catherine Campbell appointed as chairwoman. The committee also includes former Australian cricketer Avril Fahey and Cricket South Africa’s Foletsi Moseki.
