Rain Alert: This year the effect of winter across the country has been much less than before. Many states including Delhi-NCR did not experience the biting cold during January and February, which is usually seen in this season.

This time neither dense fog nor thunder was heard. Although there is slight cold in the morning and evening in February, one feels warm due to the bright sunshine during the day. Cold winds have been blowing in the morning and evening in Delhi-NCR for the last one week.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has ruled out the possibility of any major change in the weather till February 15. However, fog may occur in West Bengal and Odisha, while light rain and snowfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh.

At the same time, due to the effect of western disturbance, there may be light snowfall in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir and rain in the plains. According to the India Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is active over northern Afghanistan, due to which there is a change in the direction of the winds.

Apart from this, strong winds are blowing from west to east in Rajasthan, Northeast Bangladesh and at 12.6 km above sea level, whose speed is reaching 203 km per hour. The winter weather in Delhi this year was unusual. Neither dense fog was seen nor was there much effect of cold in January.

Although one is feeling hot due to the bright sunshine during the day, light cool winds are blowing in the morning and evening. On Sunday, Delhi’s maximum temperature was recorded at 27.4°C and minimum temperature was 7.8°C, which was 4.1 degrees above normal. According to the India Meteorological Department, there will be no major change in the weather for the next few days.
