Karnataka Government Increases SSLC Exam Fees for 2026-27 Academic Year

Karnataka government has increased SSLC exam fees by 5% for the 2026-27 academic year. Check the revised examination and registration fees for fresh candidates, private candidates, and repeaters.

The Karnataka government has issued an order increasing the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination fees by 5% for students appearing for the 2026-27 academic year exams.

The registration and examination fees for fresh candidates, private candidates, and repeaters have also been revised. For students appearing for the SSLC examination for the first time, the exam fee has been increased by 5%. With this revision, the SSLC examination fee has gone up from Rs 710 to Rs 746.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has directed students who have already registered for the Class 10 examination to pay the additional amount. As per the order, students who have completed their SSLC exam registration will have to pay an additional fee of Rs 36.

The examination fees for repeat candidates have also been increased. Earlier, candidates appearing for one subject had to pay Rs 448, but the fee has now been revised to Rs 470.

Similarly, the fee for appearing for two subjects has been increased from Rs 559 to Rs 587. Candidates appearing for three or more subjects will now have to pay Rs 790 instead of the earlier fee of Rs 752.

Along with the examination fee, the SSLC registration fee has also been increased. Earlier, private candidates registering for the SSLC examination had to pay Rs 248 as the registration fee. This has now been increased to Rs 260, requiring private candidates to pay an additional Rs 12.

Meanwhile, for private candidates who have already registered and paid the examination fee, the registration fee has been increased from Rs 72 to Rs 76.
