Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G India Launch Teased With 10000mAh Battery
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is heading to India with a massive 10000mAh silicon carbon battery, 100W charging, 50MP OIS camera, 120Hz AMOLED display and Android 16 software.

Redmi is preparing to bring another feature packed smartphone to the Indian market. Xiaomi has officially teased the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G through the Redmi India social media account, confirming that the phone is being lined up for an India launch.
The company has not announced the exact launch date yet. However, a dedicated landing page for the smartphone has also appeared on the Xiaomi India website, suggesting that the launch preparations are already underway.
The biggest talking point surrounding the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is its battery. The smartphone is expected to feature a huge 10000mAh silicon carbon battery, which is considerably larger than what is commonly found in mainstream smartphones. It will also support 100W wired fast charging, giving the device a strong combination of battery capacity and charging speed.
The display is another major highlight. The phone comes with a 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. The global version is reported to reach up to 3500 nits of peak brightness, while Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection is expected to provide additional durability.
Under the hood, the global model is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The smartphone is offered internationally with 8GB of RAM and storage choices ranging from 256GB to 512GB. It is expected to run Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 interface, bringing the company’s latest software experience to the device.
Photography is also expected to be one of the phone’s important selling points. The global model features a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone gets a 32MP front facing camera.
Redmi has also focused on durability and connectivity. The global version carries IP66 and IP68 protection against dust and water under the stated testing conditions. Connectivity options are expected to include 5G, Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0 and NFC.
While the specifications give a fairly clear picture of what to expect, the Indian pricing remains unknown. Xiaomi has not yet revealed how much the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will cost in India, so existing international prices should not be treated as the final Indian price.
In Japan, the global model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at JPY 79,980, which works out to roughly Rs 47,900. The 8GB and 512GB version is listed at JPY 99,980, equivalent to around Rs 59,900. Indian pricing can vary because of local taxes, duties, market positioning and configuration differences.
The combination of a 10000mAh battery, 100W charging and a high refresh rate AMOLED screen could make the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G an interesting option when it reaches India. The camera hardware and large storage choices further strengthen its specifications on paper.
For now, buyers will have to wait for Xiaomi to reveal the official India launch date, configurations and pricing. More details are expected to emerge as Redmi moves closer to the smartphone’s Indian debut.
