Nokia 300 Charge Launched With 3700mAh Battery and Reverse Charging
Nokia has introduced a feature phone with a removable 3700mAh battery, long standby time and reverse charging, giving users a simple device with an unusual power bank capability.
While most modern phones demand frequent charging, Nokia is taking a different approach with its latest feature phone. The Nokia 300 Charge has been introduced in the global market with a 3700mAh removable battery, an unusually large capacity for a basic handset.
The company claims the phone can remain on standby for up to 40 days and deliver around 37 hours of talk time on a single charge. That combination could make it particularly useful for people who want a phone primarily for calls without worrying about charging every day.
The more unusual addition is 10W reverse charging. The handset can supply power to compatible phones, earbuds and other small USB devices. A dedicated Out button on the side is provided for the feature, while the USB Type C port allows the Nokia 300 Charge to work as a basic power source when required.
Basic Hardware With a Familiar Nokia Feel
The Nokia 300 Charge keeps things simple with a 2.4 inch QVGA LCD screen offering a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. It also uses a traditional physical keypad rather than a touchscreen, keeping the focus on calling, messaging and basic everyday use.
Under the hood, the phone uses a Unisoc SC6531E processor with 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage. Users can expand the storage with a microSD card of up to 32GB. The handset runs on the S30 Plus operating system.
Camera and Torch Features
The phone comes with a basic QVGA rear camera, but photography is clearly not its main purpose. Nokia has instead highlighted the handset’s high power LED torch.
According to HMD, the torch can be up to four times brighter than the one on the Nokia 105. That could be handy during a power cut or when users need a quick light source at night.
The Nokia 300 Charge supports 2G connectivity on the 900MHz and 1800MHz GSM bands. It also has dual Mini SIM support and weighs around 138 grams.
The phone is available in Green, Sandstone and Black colour options, with the design aimed at providing a comfortable grip for everyday use.
Nokia 300 Charge Price and Availability
The Nokia 300 Charge has been launched in the Philippines for 2190 Philippine Pesos, which is roughly equivalent to Rs 3637 based on the conversion mentioned in the source information.
HMD has also listed the handset on its global website, but there is currently no confirmed information about an India launch or sales date. For now, the Philippines is the confirmed market for its availability.
