Realme 16x 5G Launches in India With 7000mAh Battery and 50MP Camera
Realme 16x 5G arrives in India with a 144Hz display, MediaTek processor, 7000mAh battery, 50MP camera and fast charging aimed at budget conscious buyers.
Realme has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16x 5G. The new model focuses on battery life and everyday performance, while also bringing a high refresh rate display and a 50MP main camera.
The phone will go on sale from August 13 through Realme’s official website and Flipkart. At launch, buyers can also get a bank discount of ₹1,000 along with an exchange bonus of up to ₹2,000, subject to the applicable terms.
The Realme 16x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6nm process. It is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Buyers can choose between 4GB and 6GB RAM options, while storage goes up to 256GB. A microSD card can further expand storage up to 2TB.
The smartphone runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0. For users who spend long hours watching videos, scrolling through social media or gaming, the 6.8 inch HD Plus IPS LCD screen offers a 144Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display can reach up to 1200 nits of HBM brightness.
Battery capacity is one of the phone’s biggest highlights. Realme has fitted a 7000mAh battery into the device, supported by 45W fast charging. This combination should appeal to users who prefer longer usage between charges.
On the photography front, the rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. An 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies and video calls.
The handset measures 166.47mm in height, 78.2mm in width and 8.88mm in thickness, with a weight of 217 grams. It also carries an IP65 rating for protection against dust and water. Realme has added MIL STD 810H certified durability as another layer of protection.
For connectivity, the Realme 16x 5G supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and a USB Type C 2.0 port. A side mounted fingerprint sensor is provided for device security.
The phone starts at ₹25,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 128GB version costs ₹27,999, while the top 6GB RAM and 256GB model is priced at ₹30,999.
